Supply shortages and inflation continued in Q4 while the Fed seemed to withdrawal from their earlier transitory language of inflation and retain a more persistent stance.

Supply shortages and inflation continued in Q4 while the Fed seemed to withdrawal from their earlier transitory language of inflation and retain a more persistent stance.  The stock market continue to climb in Q4 with the US finishing the quarter up 9.3% and was bested by domestic real estate which was up 17.2%. Emerging markets faired the worst and was down 1.31%.  Bonds were mixed but overall finished flat in the quarter.  Longer dated US bonds and inflation protected bonds did the best up 3.0 and 2.4% respectively.  However, nominal bonds between 1 year and 10 year maturities saw yields rise and prices fall.
